Hello everyone!
I bought a house with a plot of land on which a gas pipeline already runs (picture, blue line). Since the pipeline runs through the seller’s property and for whatever reason he does not want this, a rerouting of the gas pipeline was contractually agreed upon. The old pipeline is to be cut off on my property and newly laid southwards to the street (picture, red line).
On the website of NBB Netzgesellschaft, tiered flat rates for gas connection and pipeline can be seen; for 60 meters that would be €2600 gross.
In my case, only a new pipeline is to be laid from the existing house connection across the property to the sidewalk. For this, I am supposed to pay almost double (€5100 and €3300 without earthworks), although less work is involved. According to an employee of NBB, this is because it is a rerouting in my case. These are subsidized less compared to a new connection. This subsidy seems very unclear and hard to understand to me because the price is significantly higher and also deviates from the estimate of an employee. She had said before that the price would not differ much from the information on their website. Has anyone had similar experience and if this cannot be changed, are there other, cheaper alternatives? Since NBB is the only company authorized to lay pipelines, I cannot resort to another one. I could possibly have someone else do the earthworks, but whether I save much with 60 meters is uncertain. Thanks in advance
Wouldn’t you rather choose an air-water heat pump or ground-water heat pump instead of gas? If Annalena comes to power, gas will definitely become much more expensive; even if another party gets the majority, gas prices will rise. In combination with photovoltaics, you will even make a profit over time.
