Hi,
you are seriously considering installing a product from the same manufacturer again after having nothing but trouble with your gas boiler for 5 years and it apparently also poses a massive safety risk? And the manufacturer is bankrupt, so you can expect that you won’t get any spare parts in a few years and then the heating system will be scrap metal?

I want customers like that too!!!!!

No, seriously. The heating technician just wants to get rid of his worthless stock. I wouldn’t even let such junk near my house!

A decent gas boiler shouldn’t cause any trouble for the first 10 years, apart from maintenance every 2 years. And after 10 years, we can talk about a few small parts, but nothing more.
And you’ll probably get that from any gas boiler from reputable manufacturers, so why build such a potential bomb in the basement again?

Best regards,

Andreas

But then it modulates down properly...? We were also installed a 22 kW... modulation range 7.8 to 21.8 kW... TickTock...

Hi,

I sure hope so..... You need the high output to heat water virtually in a continuous flow process. (Not quite accurate, since the boiler always heats the tank) but for comparison: Electric instantaneous water heaters usually have a power rating in this range as well. Therefore, I assume that about 20 kW for hot water preparation makes sense. Otherwise, after the first shower, you’d either have to wait forever for warm water again or, like with a heat pump, keep a 300-400 liter tank on hand.

Best regards,

Andreas

Or realize that the storage temperature does not correspond to the withdrawal temperature. Here in the forum there are plenty of examples of people who have a heat pump with small or integrated storage tanks and still the whole family can shower without it getting cold.

Hello,
How much more?

I wouldn't think of that. Just determine/measure the system effort factor.

Best regards.

That is probably not feasible with this company
