I don't quite agree with that. I think something like that would work.

The goal was to make the best use of the sloped ceilings. If you box everything off at 2m, you lose a lot of space and also the windows. That’s not possible. The slopes aren’t bad either. That’s just how it is in an attic apartment.

I don't want to crawl off up to 2m, but at least enough to reach the wall without having to crawl on my stomach, so probably up to just below the DFFs.

And even then, the space you have drawn in there will be completely under the slope. That would be too tight for me. And I am only 168cm tall - how might someone who is 190cm tall or taller feel there???

I had imagined it roughly like this with the kitchen. Kitchen cabinets are about 90cm high, partition wall at 100cm. I'm less concerned about the countertop (which is only really usable under the skylight, maybe a second one next to it?), but about the additional storage space gained when you don't have wall cabinets. In the bathroom, the shower is 1m wide, about 80cm is over 2m high. Ok, the toilet could be moved a bit upwards on the plan towards the window so a 2m tall person doesn't hit their head. The bathtub entry is really awkward, you're right. So either do without the bathtub, or enlarge the skylight above it/add a dormer to get some headroom. Otherwise, you mostly lie in the bathtub or don't use it at all and let it gather dust (like me).

I really like the kitchen idea. But I'm very skeptical about running into the slant. I once had that in an apartment, without cabinets underneath, and I kept hitting my head. The window also gets in the way pretty quickly. Maybe it's better to extend the wall where the fridge is into the living room a bit? 5x 60 cm cabinets plus a huge kitchen island should be enough for the apartment. The cabinet by the dining area is still there too.

The sinking down to 1m = near the bottom edge of the window is already included everywhere.
