Not intended as the main traffic route, there is the large main staircase at the entrance for that. This was an idea to get directly upstairs from the living area, functionally connected with the open space and also because of the appearance.

Swapping the kitchen and living area is worthwhile for sociable people. I like it better. I like reorganizing the sleeping area upstairs into an open version much better except for the narrow passage to the left side of the bed and into the toilet. But it is not really a problem as long as you stay slim and healthy. If the apartment in the attic is intended for older people - allow for the possibility of installing an elevator.

I fully agree with this. I would only enlarge the passage to the toilet in the master bathroom, especially since the washbasin makes it even narrower. In the children's bathroom, I would possibly remove the bathtub since you already have one in the master bathroom. In terms of layout, it definitely fits, but it will probably be used as a storage space for clothes. Otherwise, I really like the new design better.

Oh, I would leave it out. Somehow silly, it's like a footpath shortcut because people are too lazy to take the proper stairs. It would probably be more of a disturbance as a dominant element and, like a decommissioned fireplace, the thing will end up as a flower bench or holder.

What is your opinion on a side entrance to minimize/optimize the traffic areas as much as possible?

Furthermore, due to the distance requirements, we are considering recessing only the setback floor to fully utilize the width for the ground floor + upper floor and to also break this up in the structure (otherwise, the area size appears industrial). The architect thinks the garage would be narrow at 3m wide... What do you think?
