Somehow this confuses me a bit now, I see two contradictory pieces of advice: Some say that more space, more distance from the wall must be created so that the air can circulate. Others say that the gap should be insulated, possibly with mineral wool. That would completely stop the circulation. I can't follow that. Regarding the other suggestions: - Remove the side wall from the carcass - how is the structure supposed to stand then?? - Calculate the dew point with ubakus - please, what?!

There are no conflicting recommendations: Insulating helps to keep the wall warmer (shift the dew point) Ventilating helps to transport moisture away Doing both is helpful. If space is too tight - do not prevent moisture transport with insulation, so under no circumstances block it.

However, this suggestion was already mentioned earlier.

The first approach is to maintain the distance recommended by the manufacturer, which is usually at least 5 cm. If this is not sufficient, one can additionally use a capillary-active insulation material to increase the surface temperature of the wall and thus reduce condensate formation.

Warning, the dew point always shifts unfavorably in this case, so an interior insulation is usually avoided. An additional fan could even draw moisture from outside to inside, as the insulation material is capillary-active in both directions. Too thick interior insulation has exactly this effect; therefore, generally no more than 5 cm insulation thickness is recommended without verification.

Yep, wrote it well. There are two possibilities. Ubakus already calculates where moisture buildup can occur. Of course, including the u-value. Although with you, it is clear that real moisture is accumulating next to the refrigerator. It has to go somewhere...

@nordanny

It is about moisture transport, therefore proof according to Glaser is not permissible. see WUFI and the like
