@ "Nordlys": First of all, "bvlgari" did not refer to a screed from PCT-Chemie. So it is likely that a cementitious standard screed is present in his house. Screeds with additives are not standardized screeds, so they must all be regarded as "special solutions." This also applies to the RETANOL(®) screed. That means: not only regarding the type and execution of the moisture measurement, but also with respect to the limit values, we are outside of what we know from standard screeds and what must be adhered to in these. Thus, the CM residual moisture measurement for screeds with RETANOL(®) screeds is only possible according to the special CM measurement instructions for this screed type. Who knows these? No one! So: inquire with the screed installer, who would be the contact person here (if the screed was not installed separately). Moisture measurements of Retanol screeds with electronic measuring devices, according to PCT-Chemie as the manufacturer, also lead to non-meaningful results due to the use of electrically indicating testing devices. At least that is understandable to me as well! You see: the subject is not that simple! ----------------------------------- Regards: KlaRa

Thank you. Conclusion. It’s not that simple. Such a [Retanolestrich] defies common standards. So, what shall I do, Sir? Nothing. Rely on the contractor and trust that they know what they’re doing because they always pour this screed. I let them tile without protest. Karsten

@ "Nordlys":
A screed that does not meet the normative requirements is always a special solution. However, special solutions in construction must be coordinated with the client and the client must be informed of the fact that there is no long-term experience with such screeds. This allows the client to decide whether to assign the contract as a special solution or not.
If everything is silently carried out by the contractor, the trade is burdened with defects. Whether it works or not.
Anyone who, as a client, closes their eyes, hopes for God's grace, and takes over the trade for tiling work thereby confirms the compliance of the (screed) execution with all disadvantages that may arise later. In doing so, they also assume the risk of total damage to the screed due to excessively high residual moisture, which cannot be ruled out. I have seen enough of such screeds in my professional career.
"Screw it, I’ll have them tile" is certainly an understandable reaction of defiance, but you should be aware of the accompanying risk!!

Well, since it is a one-stop house construction and the building description states, screed floating, fiber-reinforced, with accelerator additive Retanol, I should have known that it would be done that way. Now it is like that, Karsten

It is a FloorWit cement screed used as a heating screed. There should be a screed accelerator in it. On Tuesday, it will be a full 9 weeks since we have had it.
