we have patio doors (triple-glazed) with a size of 2.34m by 1.17m. Therefore, a single-leaf element should also be easily possible with you, without any problems occurring due to the weight of the element.
Just based on the passage width, I would not choose a patio door with a width under 80 cm.
As a former owner of sash windows, a small tip: Definitely only order windows with internal muntins. Otherwise, you will have a lot of fun cleaning the windows.
Oh, come on... we now also have windows with a vertical Viennese muntin. I have absolutely no problem with that... A proper "Viennese muntin" just appeals to me more.. it's not so "fiddly." These narrow internal ones somehow look like they're from the 90s.. Many of our single-family houses from that time have that.. But that's just my personal taste.. maybe it's still very modern...
