It's a shame that I give the impression of not wanting to discuss seriously, because actually, I am doing nothing else with the knowledge I currently possess. I am simply not a civil engineer who knows all the regulations and can immediately engage in technical discussions. I also find the PET bottle construction method better than the Earthship tire and can construction method. The PET bottles take up much less space and are extremely robust. I will test the insulation capability of the PET bottles myself in an experiment if I cannot find it through research. I do think the house can be made extremely cost-effectively. The idea of melting glass myself was not a joke. I have a plan for a melting furnace that runs on old fryer fat and can melt steel. That means I could even cast the reinforcement grids from scrap metal myself. I can get window glass for free, I can cheaply make wooden frames myself, and almost at zero cost if I use pallet wood. It's just a lot of work to plane or sand the wood. Of course, it will be extremely risky to get everything compliant if I do it myself. That’s why I have also planned a lot of time to further expand my knowledge. I will also research and calculate the time, costs, and risks even more thoroughly. At the moment, I still don’t see any major problems with the project. As long as the foundation is 100% correct, everything should be feasible.

First, I looked at the thread's opening date to see if it might be April 1st. But OK - I will try to take the topic seriously. Since I am a layperson in construction, I won’t be able to help you much.

One or two years ago, a small project like this was reported on Stern TV. The starting point was the (more or less) well-known bottle collector in Germany (who went through trains and stadiums and earned his living by collecting deposit bottles - my respect to the man). He was asked by Stern TV to collect so many PET bottles that a small house could be built. This house was then built for a daycare center. To my knowledge, whole empty PET bottles were used, which were fixed with clay (or some kind of mixture) (the bottles were therefore not filled). Everything was the size of a somewhat larger children's playhouse/garden shed. Since air is a good insulator, as a layperson, I could even imagine that this created decent insulation conditions.

I can’t say anything more about everything else here. Maybe one more serious tip: I think that if you really plan such a project, you will need support. Perhaps a research institute might actually be willing to support you. I could also well imagine that some broadcaster group might support you for one of their formats ("We build a house."; "Bauretter", "Tine Wittler" or something similar). They could possibly feature this as part of a show or an entire series (maybe even build with you). Here you might have some sort of "funding" and, if the project is mature, possibly publicity-effective support regarding the building permit.

So just read this (it concerns the compressed PET bottles): With building Materials like These, whether you live where it gets below 0 or above 100, the temperature inside the structure is around 63* and 78*.

0 °F is -17.8 °C and 100 °F is 37.8°C, meaning the greenhouse is only important for the plants and negligible as insulation. That means I can save the soil and instead build vertical gardens around the house.

p.s. is it allowed to link with **? For example: h**p then the rest of the link?

And he did it and ended up in the green forum.

I also find such projects very exciting. But I hardly believe that you will manage with the money. It will consume a lot of money. And even if you work on it for 10 years to save rent, you have still paid rent for 10 years. That is somehow a simplistic calculation.

A round of Bacardi bottle and ice with it and it will be a fun party.

And when it’s empty, immediately install it in the roof ...
