You know, we looked at houses back then....the craziest was an agent who advertised a house with 3 rooms as a house with 5 rooms, the plot was at most 400 m2, but was listed as over 500. I wonder why, because he would have sold it immediately anyway, even without lying. Or rather, he did, the house was off the portal again within days.

Well, "lie" implies intent – I think rather many real estate agents simply believe the market situation allows them extensive disinterest in the objects they deal with. The essential admission requirement for a real estate agent is already fulfilled with a clean record in terms of asset-related crimes. A taxi driver has to prove local knowledge – but no one checks whether a real estate agent can at least read zoning plans. A tie suffices, competence is completely overrated. Being a real estate agent is simply a common "Plan B" for people who failed the minced meat test three times. Besides, they are more popular with the girls than used car salesmen. Therefore, it is doubly a top job for guys who forgot to take an interest in computers during their pimply teenage years.

In this case rather simply a lie. His statement was then that the house had 5 rooms before the renovation and that could be restored again . Clever!

What I found bold was that he even confirmed to me that my assumption that the missing square meters fall under the common area would be correct and didn’t simply admit that it was a mistake. Well, I guess you can’t expect honesty nowadays either. Since he was the realtor of my house bank, I might bring it up again when I get the chance. I just don’t find it honest. I have no problem if a mistake was made, it can really be an oversight, but then you should admit it.

We did a "flyer campaign" in the residential area where we would like to move. During the first round about a year ago, we received 4 offers. But nothing came of it back then because those who wanted to sell didn’t have anything new yet and still don’t. Now we have done it again and will soon go to the house with an appraiser.

I have been reading along here because the house was also built around that time and similar repairs will be due. I also read that the insulation from that decade is already quite good. The only question is whether the energy consultant or appraiser still has any concerns or objections.
