There are days like that... all is well!

At first, I didn’t want to believe my son either; the whole world was clamoring for scientists, and he wanted to take that path. Only much later, and I don’t know after how many fruitless applications, he pointed me to various forums in frustration that confirm your dilemma in many ways. I quickly apologized; mothers and their sons

What I know for sure today – after this degree program you have to stay at the university and do your doctorate there; otherwise, it won’t work in the private sector. Because then comes the next setback – a biologist has to make a living somehow, so he looks for a job that supports him; pitching medicines to doctors doesn’t require a degree. The catch is that potential employers wrinkle their noses... sometimes I could really puke.

My son graduated high school with a 1 (top grade) and published even before his diploma; it helped little. So crybaby, take it easy; I can understand you well.

Rhineland greetings

By the way, we have everything - from social scientists, to mathematicians, to pharmacists ... as soon as you get a chance, it sometimes really doesn't matter exactly what you studied.

If there is no response to 600 applications, something is wrong. And in this case, one should seek help. That is what I wanted to say.

not to sound harsh, unfortunately true.... especially since you can get jobs very well in many regions in Hesse.

many are then not mobile after all (know some from the family circle)

Although also off-topic: But when I look at the fact that nowadays you "almost" have to study to "be something" and who all studies and how the situation at universities (places, accommodations scarce) is, at the same time there is a massive lack of trainees and skilled workers in crafts... yes, I can only hold my head in my hands!

I congratulate everyone who decides on a solid vocational training after 10 years of school.

After a normal vocational training, I even did a yodeling diploma in the evenings to have something. It’s all possible.
