Yep, the kitchen turned out great, the performance and price are right, I’d already had a good experience with the kitchen dealer in the past. But that’s not the point, it’s about the sad performance of the master painter’s company. As described at the beginning, the kitchen is almost finished, the glass backsplash is still missing, it will be delivered, and the fittings have now been installed. The photo may be misleading, I’m not worried about the sockets, what really concerns me is the sustainability of the wall coating. Whether it won’t crack anymore… the painting company wanted to refuse the warranty… describes services not performed on the invoice… does the paint hold even after a renewed coat… does the paint hold behind the kitchen unit where the humid air from the hob is blown…The kitchen turned out great after all. The result counts. Plus the really good price. There’s nothing to complain about here. And since the master painter isn’t a clairvoyant and didn’t use cheap materials either, in my view you really can’t blame him. Kitchens are always problematic because a lot of grease and oil-based components can soak into the substrate. That always causes some problems with the material. And if it hasn’t cracked so far, then it won’t crack anymore. I would rather worry about the sockets next to the sink or the white wall behind the kitchen unit. The sockets are not allowed at all. Not a wet room and built too close to water. No splash protection on the wall? How long is that supposed to stay clean?
