Massive passive house as bungalow

The costs for a stairlift are probably easily covered in a one-and-a-half or two-story house compared to a bungalow (smaller excavation pit, smaller floor slab, smaller roof, ...).
In addition, the desired area mentioned in a bungalow is often difficult to reconcile with the lighting conditions, which further increases the cost but also enables exciting solutions.

I still don't understand why I have more surface area with a square. If I build 15.5m wide and 11m long, then that's 132.5sqm surface area (my calculation 15.5 meters wide * 2.5 high * 2 for each side and the same for the length) or did I not pay attention in class back then? ;-) If I halve the square and put half on top, I come to the same, right?

Because wood is always moving and I don't want to have to work on the wood every time!
