You don't have to just slap double or basically garages next to the house... you can also step out of the standard shoe and put some thought into it - simply plan and build according to what the property allows and not according to the house catalogs.
Off the top of my head, I think of placing the garage in front so that a sightproof courtyard is created between the house and the garage. But also accessing the garage from the side, so for standard thinkers, rotating the garage 90 degrees as a boundary building is not uncommon and usually looks more harmonious and is actually more practical in terms of the arrangement to the house.
For a standard house, the building window is often enough.
