This is already one of the largest parcel boxes I have found.

It is supposed to be for the majority of packages and not 100%
the large packages can possibly be accepted by the neighbors.

Unfortunately, we do not have a side entrance door for the garage or other storage places for packages.

We only have the option of a parcel box with the above-mentioned dimensions or nothing at all.

I would also like to have a parcel box that can be used without access.
So without a code or anything else.
The parcel should be placed inside and when you close the lid again, the parcel should fall one level down and be protected from theft.

Who of you has a parcel box in use? Which one do you have and what are the maximum package sizes? What are your experiences?

Well, but for what percentage out of 100 of the packages delivered to you the box is sufficient, only you yourself can ultimately answer that, since no one here knows what kind of packages you receive. I can only speak for myself that the box would be too small for at least 80% of the packages here. For that reason, we also have no box because it would bring us no added value. And I would also take from the large majority of answers to your initial post that most people here do not have parcel boxes because they do not bring any added value there either. What you do with the observation is now your business. And whether the box offers added value in your specific case, only you will be able to answer.

We have Erik from MEFA. Not for the sake of packages, but because he happened to fit perfectly into the gap between the gate and the fence. He stands on a self-built pedestal at the same height as the gate posts and primarily serves as a mailbox. Nevertheless, smaller packages also fit inside (yes, with this flap that drops the package down when closing) and is gladly accepted by the delivery workers, where every second counts. It also has nothing to do with a delivery permission (we have that separately for everything that doesn't fit inside), but the delivery worker has to scan "mailbox delivery." This works reliably here. Necessary? No. But in our individual case, fitting and clever.

I find it hard to estimate how many packages would fit in there.

I never really paid attention to how big the packages usually are.
But we also often receive smaller to medium packages (I would guess).

If at least 50% of the packages could be placed there, I would say that would already be an added value.

but I have also read in the posts that some people have a parcel box.

you have had good experiences with the packages in the parcel box.

You need advocates rather than opinions, I believe ;) buy one with a [Paketbox] It doesn't make much difference price-wise whether it's 100 or 300€ for a mailbox you have for 30 years
