That was good. Most roller shutters offer no protection at all. Many older ones can be slashed with a box cutter. Or simply pried out of the guides. If not really taken into account when buying, it is not a real obstacle.
But I can hardly imagine that the lockable handle would help. Probably good fittings plus dowels and good roller shutters that cannot be pushed up will help more.
