Thank you for your message. What do you mean by relearn? The slats go all the way down. But through the opening (because the guide rail doesn’t go all the way down), a lot of light comes in. Shouldn't he build the guide rail further down? Or what could I do so that not so much light passes through this opening? Thank you

no, I’m talking about the other problem... namely the slats, which do not close completely and light shines through the gaps...

Tell him that... he should know what is meant by that... the motors are programmed to an upper and lower limit... meaning the motors should stop there

If they are not set 100% accurately, the shutters won’t fully go up or down...

Hello. No, this is about the length of the rails! That the slats don’t close properly is another problem! The roller shutter already goes down to the windowsill. I’m concerned about the length of the rail, where strong light penetrates! At the neighbor’s, the rails go up to 3mm from the windowsill! At mine, up to 2cm! So big gaps where the light shines through! Thanks

Hello, I have looked into your issue with us. The rails only go up to about 1cm above the windowsill on the upper floor as well. Some light comes in there, but you really can't speak of strong light incidence.

here is a picture of the darkness when the shutters go down

although the parts lower down to the brickwork, light still comes through. but it is quite limited. however, if they don’t go all the way down, quite a bit of light comes in. something went wrong there.

i have never heard of manual strap shutters as an escape option. the plastic slats can be broken out with a strong kick or you can still raise them. if it is a regulation in Bavaria, of course the contracting party has to pay for the regulation-compliant execution. (unless they can prove that you as the builder intentionally want to ignore this regulation)

Good day. The shutter does go all the way down. But my problem with the roller shutter installer is the aluminum guide rails! These on my unit only go down about 2cm (see photo). At my neighbor’s place they go almost down to the window sill (about 2mm). And most of the light comes through this gap! Also through the slots of the aluminum guide rails between the wall and the guide rail! In total, that is why it is very bright in the bedroom from 5 a.m. during the summer now! I have been sleeping with a sleep mask for 6 weeks. That cannot/should not be!
