Hello everyone,
we are currently considering the lighting in the open space (kitchen, dining, and living room). Despite some negative comments, we would like to use LED recessed lamps. We have seen them several times and like them. The ceiling height is 2.45m.
In the kitchen, there are hanging cabinets and a extractor hood at the bottom of the plan, so under-cabinet lamps are planned there. On the right side of the kitchen is a floor-to-ceiling cabinet wall. Pendant lamps are to be installed above the peninsula, as well as above the dining table.
On the top wall of the plan, an LED light strip could be installed along the entire length; this is prepared so far.
So far, 9 recessed lamps with a 35° beam angle are planned in the living area; see the black dots and the yellow light cone.
In the kitchen, 2 recessed lamps are planned above the sink and 3 more as general lighting.
A wall lamp is prepared between the living and dining area (top of the plan). The 2 vertical lines are meant to represent a board covering the screws that attach the wooden ceiling to the beam. So, there is already a small separation here anyway. Nothing can be installed there either.
I still lack ideas for the dining area.
What are your opinions on the considerations? Is the number of lamps sufficient, or should a larger beam angle be chosen in the living area so that the light cones overlap more?
I would be happy to hear views/suggestions. Thank you very much.
