Hello everyone,

we are currently looking for a house/plot and have found something. The price of the plot was stated in the text on the real estate platform (agent). Additionally, there is the option to also build a solid house through a provider, but this is not mandatory. The plot alone is also possible. Now we have viewed the plot and expressed our interest and "committed" to the agent for the plot. Subsequently, we also had an external financing discussion. This advisor requested further documents from the agent on our behalf. Agent's statement: he will take care of it. Several days passed and even more. No feedback/delivery. According to the neighbor (known to us), question to the agent who gets the plot: whoever offers the most. Since there apparently is greater interest in the plot, the listing was suddenly changed after a few weeks. Now no price is listed anymore, and bids are requested.

Question: is this allowed/legal? Could one take action against this or possibly report it?

Many thanks and regards Michael

Where does it say that he has to sell it cheaper?

As long as no notarized contract or similar [o.Ä.] exists, he can do whatever he wants. He can even get up from the notary, leave, and sell to someone else.

You have agreed to the broker, but he has not agreed to you - if I read that correctly. Optimizing the price is legitimate.

The broker cannot promise anything either, as he is not the owner. Without a signed notary contract, you have nothing in hand.

Of course, the broker can agree if he has the mandate for it. We are currently doing the same with our current house. The broker negotiates with the people - I saw them during the house tour and have my favorite. He handles the contract, negotiation, and discussions.
