For me, it's exactly the opposite. Vinyl costs more than double the laminate.
The Tritty 100 at ~20€ per sqm compared to the DISANO Classic Aqua at ~56€ per sqm. According to the brochure, both are suitable for commercial use.

Don't let yourselves get crazy. The seller always recommends the most expensive option. You don't want to save money on this! Such a beautiful house deserves a proper floor...
About vinyl. 0.2 mm wear layer, basic. Sufficient for bedrooms, living rooms. Everywhere where almost always no street shoes are worn.
0.3 mm wear layer. Enough for living areas, kitchens, hallways, holiday apartments, home office. Light commercial use. For example, consultation corner in a car dealership.
0.55 mm wear layer. For heavy commercial use, cafeteria Ikea for example. Offices where there are no documents under the chairs.
Conclusion. 0.3 is good enough for our houses. Price range around 20 to 25 per sqm.

Thanks for the explanation!

Uff, so the top offering from Haro is vinyl with a 0.3 mm wear layer. But that already costs 58€ per sqm. Unfortunately, we can only choose from products by Haro and Tilo, although according to the seller Tilo is not PVC- and plasticizer-free. (I thought that wasn’t allowed to be sold anymore...)
In the "Robusto" series by Tilo, unfortunately, the desired color tone is not available either. However, there is a 0.55 mm wear layer option.

We had originally calculated with about 20€ per sqm, but everything offered that the seller calls "usable" puts you more in the range of 50-80€.

I just had an extremely detailed conversation with a technician from Haro. In summary:
- Whether laminate or their vinyl substitute "Disano Aquao Classic": office chairs must definitely have rubber wheels.
- Although the usage class in the test procedure for vinyl is equal or slightly higher, the laminate from Tritty 100 is significantly more resistant to scratches.
- For a home office without much public traffic, Tritty 100 is completely sufficient.

My conclusion: it will be the (significantly cheaper) laminate. I’d rather invest a bit more in soundproofing.

Many thanks to you all for the many infos!
