Kniestock window too low, what do you think?

Unfortunately, I can’t photograph both semi-detached halves from the front because otherwise I would have to go onto the neighbor’s property. But I still took a few photos.

Our house is 15.6m wide, and also we had about 16cm buildup on this floor.

And again, many thanks! I do have one more question. :) How do you operate the [Rollladen]?

There is no difference to the others, electrically via a button in the wall. The slats are smaller and reversed in this top-mounted roller shutter but it is not so noticeable, at least in the color anthracite (7016).

You mean the first photo? I was also a bit confused before zooming in, wondering if it was a montage. I think you are worrying too much. Many houses have some kind of accent window (exterior view), mostly in the stairwell, but it can also be elsewhere. People put in continuous bands of windows like on an assembly line, although these only make sense where you want to let light in without being seen from outside. Too much does not look more modern. Nowadays, people no longer think usefully but only about external appearance. The result is basement-effect / semi-basement rooms. That is not nice. But no one admits it who has joined this modern “compulsion” and installed window bands excessively and without thinking. Instead, lower or “different” windows are laughed at, although you have great garden views. I think you are worrying too much: for safety, a fixed window glass can be used, then an opening sash. If you have more width, you can also go asymmetrical. Definitely light will come in, definitely enough for ventilation, and the child will definitely be happy with this window! P.S. With ’s pictures you can very nicely see how a higher KS works without immediately going for a two-story design, namely cozy, without sacrificing floor area and spacious full-room effect. Others who say “I don’t like sloped ceilings – I want a townhouse” should take a leaf out of that book!
