One of the contractors has redrawn the proposal, I think the approach can be seen there. However, I have to say, it looks quite unusual to me in the sketch.

If you also have a covered terrace and/or entrance area right away - that's good.

Why the eaves height is set, I don’t really understand anyway. If it then leads to this kind of deception being carried out. The municipality should just completely remove the eaves height. Personally, it is much more important to me that my neighbors do not exceed the ridge height.

: That was also our first thought, to kill two birds with one stone. We will have to take a look at it based on a draft. In terms of the facade appearance, my girlfriend imagines it like a house with floppy ears.

: Very true, the building pre-application also seemed more like a guide to compliant cheating to us. When I then see the ridge height of our neighbor, which he achieves with a very steep roof and thus can fully utilize the roof peak, I don’t understand some requirements there either.

Of course.

The definition of the eaves is the same nationwide, as I have known since this morning; in that respect, the question from the OP has made me a bit wiser again. Look at the OP's most recent pencil sketches, then you will see that the eaves height has not changed in either example; only the roof is steeper (obviously the pitch can vary from/to).

I followed your hints from post #4 and there the house does have a carport

Hello,

There is no instruction "to cheat" shown by the caseworker; the Bavarian Building Code also does not allow that. Your property, on the other hand, (obviously) allows different DN; these were interpreted by the caseworker; nothing more and nothing less. The eaves are identical in both examples!

If no other development plan applies to his property – which sometimes varies from street to street – then you can also push the limits.

Rhenish greetings
