But what are we comparing? Kitchens, painting, lamps, floors, beach chairs, geraniums, lawns, sheds....all part of the house, but not part of the [Baunebenkosten]. These are indispensable, whereas theoretically, one could live for a while just with a microwave, kettle, and a 120 Euro sink.
