I do not actually live in Germany but west of it. House utility rooms are somehow less problematic there. Here is an example of how it is standard in almost all houses: "large technology" and "small technology" are installed separately.
In my case, the small technology is behind the front door, behind the door frame. These are electricity meters, water connection, telecom. It has a maximum depth of 23 cm from the wall. That is really space-saving. I also have the converter and the home battery hanging there.
The technology room for the large technology is a bit over 3 sqm, an interior room without windows. The hot water tank, controlled residential ventilation, heat pump connection, and filter for the rainwater for the washing machine. The washing machine is also in the 3 sqm + Ivar storage shelf.
Overall, I find this quite space-saving considering what you have to build around the equipment in Germany. I am glad to have my maximally efficient solution. Furthermore, the utility room is at the ugliest spot of the house and does not take up any nice space. Also practical.
Oh yes, don’t mind the chaos, that was shortly after moving.
p.s. observant viewers will find my moving vehicle in the busy picture with which I managed my move.
