As I said, I'm interested in possible self-sufficiency,
Geothermal heat pump and a sufficiently sized solar system with a home battery. I would then keep the stove as a backup in case and at the same time start planting my own little forest.
Building self-sufficiency on fossil fuels is a contradiction in terms. That might still work out for the next 5-6 years, although I strongly doubt that gas will become cheaper; in 20-30 years it can only work well if enough others have rethought it beforehand.
My dream house:
Geothermal heat pump, sufficiently sized solar system, home battery, electric car. That I won't have all that quickly, but one after the other, is only a question of money, not of willingness.
Gas and oil (diesel) are for me only transitional solutions....
