Brief feedback on the procedure. After the window manufacturer's representative insisted during the acceptance that it was an acceptable defect, the pleasing news has meanwhile come from Waghäusel that the pane will be replaced at the end of June. However, it remains unfortunate that during the acceptance they initially only wanted to rotate the pane for me.

I hope that the other defects (gap dimensions at the mounting strips, scuffs on the plastic, and various adjustment works) will also be completed shortly.

What I find interesting about this window manufacturer is that the company itself makes a very structured and friendly as well as professionally competent impression. Unfortunately, the subcontractor craftsmen sent for installation have not quite adopted the German thoroughness yet. The follow-up work is bothersome and probably more expensive in the end than if a high-quality window fitter had been commissioned from the outset.

but nowadays that's really the case everywhere. there are hardly any young talented people left who really understand their craft. with the lousy pay and working conditions, no one feels like working well anymore. you can guess three times on whose back the construction boom is probably being carried out.
tip: take a look on saturday afternoon in the new development area to see which companies are working there.

almost every mistake on the construction site happens because someone wanted to finish a certain task 2-3 minutes faster than originally planned. then the 1-minute final checking glance/test of the tightness of the toilet waste pipe is just skipped, only to have to tear everything open again 3-4 weeks later and dry the whole house out for weeks.

tip at the acceptance/just before/after: as long as the defect has nothing to do with moisture (e.g. roof) or leaks from (waste)water pipes, you should stay totally relaxed. otherwise, you'll eventually get a heart attack. sure, you want a house with as few defects as possible. many scratches on the window frames can be easily rubbed off (with one of those erasers). correctly adjusting the windows is of course definitely part of the scope of work in a turnkey house. but you can easily write in the acceptance protocol that the window adjustments still need to be done. that’s usually accepted when the construction handles are replaced by the final ones.

visible bubbles in the glass really don’t have to be accepted. still, stay calm and if necessary just don’t pay the final invoice. for 4000€ "such things get overlooked very well."
