Installments in divisions of upper floors

I urgently need your recommendation for the layout of the upper floor. I am faced with the decision of whether to open the living room with a small office (as shown in the attached picture) or whether I prefer closed rooms instead.

Option 1: Open living room with small office In this variant, I would combine the living room with a small office, similar to the attached picture with a partition between rooms, WC, and living room.

Option 2: Closed rooms (like the plan) Alternatively, I could divide the upper floor into separate, closed rooms.

I am unsure which option is the better choice. Could you please give me your recommendation? Thank you in advance for your support!

Like which plan? It would be sensible to provide a proper floor plan sketch of both variants.

Bain tells me something, Salon too… but where you want to change or have something now, that is not clear. Please draw a legible sketch with furnishings and possibly an opening. Otherwise, I advise: if you do mobile working, something open is enough, keep the home office closed with telephony or family in the background. But that is your task to describe here!

Sorry, here you will find a better plan, my wife wishes for a separation between the stairs and the living room and I have drawn a partition wall, I look forward to your suggestions.

I would put up a wall exactly where you want it - no frills and no restless compartments.
