Hello,

.....so an installation level?! How much space is there between the drywall and the wooden board? Without an installation level, you will probably damage the foil when drilling.

If you pull the cable directly on the foil, you will certainly tear holes in it.

The wooden panel and plasterboard are directly on top of each other, so there is no installation layer. The foil does not get damaged if you work carefully (of course, there must be no sharp edges at the end to be inserted). I installed about 150 boxes without damaging the foil (passed the blower door test with flying colors). And as already mentioned: if the foil is damaged around the drilling area, just put some tape on it and insert a windproof box.

Hello,

Drywall = 12.5mm; wooden panel max. 20mm.
How deep is the hollow wall box that can be installed there?

Where does the cable actually come from? It must be pulled into this layer afterward, which again causes a penetration of the vapor barrier.

Well, a bit of tape is not enough. You need special sealing tape and have to work very precisely --> vapor barrier!!
The airtightness layer is a very sensitive area. I can only advise against tinkering with it afterward. Either installation level or socket on the interior wall, which I consider the best solution anyway for this wall construction (which I would never plan this way).

Regards
