Hello everyone,

we moved into our new house 3 weeks ago. In previous apartments, we always only had one router, which roughly represents the limit of my knowledge regarding networks.
However, to take a step up in the house, I decided, among other things through posts in this forum, to set up a Unifi network.
This is what it looks like for me:
- Draytek 165 as modem
- TP-Link TL-SG1016PE 16-Port Gigabit Desktop POE Smart Switch
- Unifi Security Gateway
- Unifi Cloud Key
- 2 Accesspoint-AC-Lite

After some trial and error, the internet is working now and both APs are functioning as well.
However, the two APs do not appear in the Unifi network. Under "Devices," only the USG appears:

Both are visible in the Discovery Tool:

What do I have to do so that the two APs are assigned to the network?

Thank you very much in advance for all answers :)

Best regards
Crossy

Unfortunately, you probably haven't dealt with it exactly. The Lite is quite slow. Now they are there. You can still swap them later. You have to go to action and then adopt in the Discovery Tool. It should also work in the controller. Did you set up the APs as standalone? Otherwise, they shouldn't be broadcasting any SSID. In the worst case, reset and adopt in the controller. Set up user group(s), network(s), wifi(s) ....

I decided on the Lite because it is smaller and, as far as I can assess, the performance should be sufficient for us. But as you say, one can always swap later.
I probably set it up as a standalone. After I click on action in the Discovery Tool, I can select "Set Inform", "locate", "Reboot", "Restore to factory default" and "upgrade"; no adopt.
Is reset then the only option?

Restore to factory defaults. Then give them some time. Afterwards, they appear under Devices in the controller. On adopt... About 10 minutes. Connect the computer via cable since the WiFi is down for that long.
