450€ is really extreme. I paid an extra 230€ per window with my main contractor. Everything including the wiring and switches. I also initially considered just retrofitting, but then I would have already had those stupid belt winders installed. I really didn’t want that...

450€ per roller shutter would be 8,100€ for us

wow...

so here's the thing: our BT actually charges 230€ per roller shutter. I can only say that anyone who knows about this topic would laugh their head off when they hear these prices.

I once put together everything I would need on a website (also based on a hint from someone here in the forum)

motors, switches, timers, isolation relays and a flat rate of 300€ for cables. I currently come to almost 1500€ material value for 18 windows. I honestly wouldn’t hesitate for a moment and do it myself somehow, only we have other "dependencies" that lead to us ordering it directly from the BT, but certainly not at 230€/roller shutter and definitely not at an unbelievably overpriced 430€ per roller shutter

What is he installing, self-learning roller shutter motors that recognize when they need to do what? Unbelievable...

Yes, the price of 450 euros is quite steep. I would get a quote from another company. Maybe they also use different [Rollläden] that are cheaper. But I wouldn't retrofit it myself, better to do it completely.

But this is only possible to a limited extent with a GÜ... the tanks usually come from the window manufacturer... thus also the boxes and the rest of the internal components... actually, you can only source the motor+bearing from someone else... or have a cost estimate made.

Well, I didn’t find the €230 completely exaggerated for us. And tinkering yourself is out of the question for people like me who consciously chose turnkey execution from the general contractor anyway. And the roller shutter motors installed for my 12 windows alone already cost €1500. Then switches, cables, labor, and 5 years warranty on the whole stuff, I don’t find that unreasonable.
