Install Bosch SMV68M90EU dishwasher in Ikea Metod

Hello everyone,

I want to install the Bosch SMV68M90EU dishwasher in my Metod kitchen because it performed well in Stiftung Warentest. After reading quite a bit here, I currently have the following questions:

Is installation with a folding hinge possible for high cabinet dimensions? Unfortunately, Bosch does not provide any further information about this hinge. Apparently, it works, but the comments about it make me doubt again.

According to Bosch, the plinth height must not be less than 9 cm. How does this affect Metod with 8 cm? And is there anything that can be done about it?

XXL or large-capacity dishwashers are often recommended here because then the front can be screwed on directly. But when I look at Bosch, even with these, the fronts only go up to 775 mm. Am I misunderstanding something?

The topic really seems complicated, and the more I read, the more uncertain I become. I would really appreciate any help!

take an XXL device with Vario hinge. With that, there are no problems.
The specified 9 cm for the base are unimportant.
For the (in my opinion overpriced) folding hinge, the front must be two-part and to meet the specified dimensions, an 80 cm high front must be cut into two parts, which is not unproblematic for fronts like Bodbyn.

Ah, thanks for the hint! The XXL dishwashers with Varioscharnier actually have a front height of 800 mm specified.

My problem now is that the dishwashers with Varioscharnier from Bosch neither have Zeolith drying nor energy efficiency class A. I also value Stiftung Warentest ratings quite a bit, and they have not tested any XXL device with Varioscharnier.

Personally, I wouldn't have a big problem with a split front. I have Ringhult in white. Are there any concerns regarding this? Can the interface be visually concealed? Any strips or something that can be glued over it?

All models cannot be tested by Warentest, but in a similar price range, the construction is not much different.

Especially where moisture can play a role, cut edges become more of a problem. If so, I would have the front cut by a suitable carpenter and fitted with an ABS edge.

Without a variable hinge, the XXL dishwasher can also be installed using the Stefan method (--> search function), but I do not know within which range the working height must be for it to still work.

Yesterday, because of missing kitchen parts, I went to my Ikea again and inquired about the dishwasher. The salesperson then offered me a Behjälplig hinge, of which they had set aside a few pieces back then and which I now own.

However, I have read in the forum that there have already been problems with this sliding hinge. The kitchen fitter, however, said that so far they have been able to install every dishwasher (I only hope in good condition).

Do you think the chances are good? Or would you advise me against trying? What are the risks?
