So I just got grids without frames and stuck them to the window frame with double-sided tape. I don’t know if that will hold. Otherwise, I am considering ordering Velcro and trying that.
So, a quick feedback from me. Fly screen with frame, to cut yourself. It took 90 minutes to assemble it, including measuring and everything... The next ones will definitely take 30 minutes. I am now getting some more from them for the other windows.

I had that in three former apartments. Never again. That crap never lasted longer than 1 year – sometimes not even half a year. Afterwards the grid loosened from the tape and every time you tried to reattach it. It holds for half a day and then everything hangs down again.
Honestly, save your money and buy something with a frame. Everything else will sooner or later stop holding.
Here I’m not sure if the frame might affect the tightness of the window. (I don’t know – so no judgment)
There are also blinds, looks quite nice, but is always somewhat more expensive.
Exactly – we have those. We also equipped the patio door with a sliding insect screen door. However, I currently can’t even say which manufacturer it is. We conveyed our wish to our general contractor and the supplier during the selection process and they arranged everything. It was included in the quoted price. But I will probably find out the manufacturer soon – we want to retrofit two more windows that we stupidly "overlooked" the first time around. Then we can also cross-ventilate in the living room via patio door + window without annoying insects.
