Wood is a good material, but unfortunately the price is higher. Even with us, the construction made of aerated concrete is gaining in popularity. It is more durable than wood, warmer than brick or reinforced concrete. Is it built like this in Germany?

Almost everything is built here. Timber framing and stone upon stone (from bricks to aerated concrete) are the main building materials. Solid wood, shuttering blocks, and concrete are also available.

I think our climate is quite moderate and allows for quite a lot.

You have to decide. Seek conversations and consider. You are only not allowed to bend anyone and let them work with unknown building materials.
