Regarding the tip that makes me doubt your allegedly professional expertise a little: at my neighbor's place, with his new Pax, even with two original shelves stacked !!!!! on top of each other, the boards sag. Pictures can prove this at any time. Maybe your tip comes from the good old days, hearsay, etc.? By the way, the shelves are not loaded with stones but only with clothes. By "base" you probably mean the 18mm chipboard strips that are attached at the front and back under the floorboards in the side panels with 5mm dowels. The floorboards, by the way, are connected to the side panels by screw bolts and eccentric connectors. So far, so good, if it weren't for the poor quality of the chipboard. A slightly strong pressure in the middle on the side area and the board breaks at the eccentric connector spot. Ask a real expert, e.g., a cabinetmaker, how a base should be professionally designed. But let's leave this pointless banter aside. It's okay if you, like the Ikea employee in the company, earn your money with Ikea products.
To Ikea employee:
Even if, with all due respect, an Ikea employee should sell a thousand units a week, the quality will not get any better because of it. My problem is that I already had Pax cabinets and they were, as I said, great! My money was top-notch, 100% without any flaw. By the way, I want to mention again that most things at Ikea are indeed okay.
But Pax is not like that. Period!
