Ikea Microwave Framtid MW3 - Light + ventilation on when the door is open?

I have just put a new Framtid MW3 microwave from Ikea into operation.
Now I have noticed the following, which seems very strange to me: As soon as I open the microwave, the light and ventilation turn on – it seems as if the microwave is on at that moment, apart from the fact that the turntable does not rotate.
If I press the open button while the microwave is on, only the turntable stops; otherwise everything seems unchanged.
However, the display shows only the time when the door is open, as if the microwave is off.

Now my question to you: Is this behavior normal, or should the microwave simply be dark and off when the door is open, as I have been used to from all the microwaves I have had before? It does worry me a bit that the microwave seems to be on with the door open, and I will not use it any further before I have spoken to IKEA service.

No panic, it's normal. I have a MW from another manufacturer and it does exactly the same. Have a look in the manual, it is surely described there.

Thank you very much for your reply. I just left a cup of water in the microwave with the door open for 5 minutes and it stayed cold. So indeed, only the light is on (I could have thought of that yesterday as well).

Unfortunately, this was not described precisely in the manual, hence my concerns. - I was just used to cheap microwaves before, and they turn off completely when you open the door.
