Good day everyone,

I have already found many valuable tips here for planning my Metod kitchen. Many thanks for that!
Now the next few days it’s time to get down to the “nitty-gritty,” meaning buying. But before that, I would like to ask again here if I have not overlooked anything with the appliances I have chosen, so that they might not fit in the end.

The following appliances/cabinet configurations are planned:
Cooktop: Miele KM6307 in an 80 cm base cabinet with drawers
Oven: Neff B55VS24N0 together with (old) microwave Miele 626 EG with installation frame in a tall cabinet for oven and microwave
Dishwasher: Miele G 6265 SCVi XXL fully integrated
Sink Franke Hydros HDX 254 in a 60 cm sink cabinet with drawers – here I am unsure whether the siphon and the drawer will work out.

I am grateful for any advice!
Best regards Leia

Two things right away:
When installing the cooktop, pay attention to the installation instructions and check whether the minimum thickness for the countertop is suitable.

For the sink, you should buy a "space-saving" siphon or "furniture siphon," which can compete with the Ikea siphons in terms of space-saving features.

Cooktop: minimum thickness of the countertop is specified as 29 mm. The cooktop also fits over a 60 cm wide base cabinet without having to cut anything out of the carcass.

Oven: ok

Microwave with built-in frame: no information found online

Dishwasher: ok

Sink: flush-mounted? In which countertop is it to be installed? Siphon see fleptin. Have you really thought this through with the small basin? Will you really use it or will you later prefer to have just one large basin instead?

The thing with the siphon is noted...

The countertop will be a 2.8 mm thick one from Ikea. Drawers are planned under the cooktop. Would it be sensible, because of the 1 mm, to "deactivate" the top narrow drawer?

The microwave is very old but works great... the mounting frame currently sits on a 45 cm high niche underneath - I think that will fit. But just to be safe, I will definitely take the frame with me to IKEA.

Regarding the sink... to be honest, no, I never use the second small basin. But sometimes I’m quite glad to have the second drain. That means a sink with a second drain would also be sufficient for me, but I haven’t found one with a slim top, i.e., a flat rim (I wanted to place the sink on top, not install it flush).

I don't know why exactly 29 mm is specified, although 28 mm is the usual measure. To be safe, you can ask Miele. The minimum distance from the bottom edge of the cooktop to – the top edge of the oven must be 15 mm. – the top edge of the intermediate shelf must be 15 mm. – the bottom of the drawer must be 75 mm. The upper 10 cm should therefore better be just a panel.

Is an additional drain occasionally sufficient as a standpipe valve?

[*]Model: REGINOX standpipe valve 3 1/2"
    [*]Brand product by REGINOX
[*]Standpipe valve 3 1/2" made of plastic
[*]for sinks with 3 1/2" outlet embossing
[*]made of plastic with internal seal
[*]suitable for sinks of the series: REGINOX Clean & Care
    [*]for water level: 138/160/182/202 mm
[*]the height of the standpipe valve must be adjusted on site

I myself never missed a second drain even without a dishwasher. I always emptied everything before washing up. Does the flat mounting rim really lie completely flat on the surface? If due to the seal the rim is slightly above the surface of the countertop, there will be a nice dirt gap.

Yes, the sink is flush - just like a conventional sink.
