Hello Ikea friends,

we are considering getting an IKEA HIN4T induction cooktop.

We noticed that the cooktops on display do not correspond to those being sold. This means the cooktops on display are still the old HB14 models with 6KW power and different mounting as well as a Schott Ceran label. The revision number is 3.1, which the salesperson only told us after we found out ourselves.
The HIN4T has different mounts and no longer has a print on the cooktop. Additionally, the mounts have also changed. Furthermore, the cooktop now states 7KW and has a different revision number 1.0.

The cooktop now makes quite loud cracking noises on levels 1-5 on the booster plates. From level 6 on, there is no more cracking. It is always claimed that this is due to the pots.

The recommendation of the kitchen advisor at Ikea Hanau was that we should take the HIN-F-4T. That is supposed to be much quieter and of better quality.

We would be interested to know what experiences you have with the cooktops.

The HIN4T is offered for a stunning 299.- euros

Thank you very much in advance

Best regards

By the way, the HIN-F-4t including pots from the 365 series is allegedly supposed to be offered for 449.- euros at the end of January—

Hello Nayla!

We have had a Framtid HIN4S for about 10 months now -

this is the 4-zone cooktop with a width of 78 cm. If you have ever cooked with induction, there is no way back.

Yes, you sometimes hear a crackling sound, but you also hear the exhaust fan, you hear the meat sizzling and and and ... If that bothers you, cook on an open fire .... ahem, there the wood crackles ;)

But seriously. It works great, everything is much faster, we have retired our electric kettle and got a great whistling kettle from Alessi. Water for tea has never been ready so quickly! Much easier to clean than a conventional cooktop, the areas around the pot simply do not get that hot, so nothing burns - even if the famous milk has boiled over.

Since we have very large pans and pots with a diameter of 34 cm, the large one is just about right, could sometimes be a bit wider. So if you have space and budget, definitely get the biggest cooktop you can.

Have fun cooking. fotokatze

After some research, I would like to ask in the forum if you also had a brochure with care instructions from the company SCHOTT included with your HIN4t induction cooktop bearing the Schott-CERAN label when it was new.

Because according to the company Schott, only where Schott is printed is there Schott glass installed.
After all, it is also a registered trademark.

The currently offered cooktops do not have this label nor any indication of a care brochure.
This could suggest that it is not Schott glass at all.

Best regards :D

Another feedback! :D

As Ikea confirmed to me by email, the cooktops without the label Schott-Ceran are not made of Schott glass.

The supplier has changed, and the cooktops will be replaced these days.
It's nice that as a customer you first have to find this out yourself

I cannot understand that users here take this so lightly... because the quality I see on display is what I want to purchase. And not inferior quality in the workmanship or sheet metal thickness of the individual parts.

Best regards ;)

Hello,
thanks for the tip,
we are also about to place an order and have one more question:
Does the 78 cm FRAMTID HIN4S also fit under a 60 cm base cabinet? On the left and right of the cooktop there would again be pull-out cabinets with 3 drawers. Unfortunately, an 80 cm base cabinet is not possible.

One more question:
What are the differences between FRAMTID HINF4S, HINF4T & NUTID HIN4T, except for the size? They all have induction. In the kitchen planner and on Ikea.at, the description page shows no difference except the total wattage (but the new HIN4T is also supposed to be 7000W).
And why are there the FRAMTID and NUTID series and not all called the same?

Regards Pappl
