Hello everyone!

When I was designing my Faktum kitchen back then, I found a lot of helpful information here – many thanks for the great posts. However, now I have to ask something myself...

I want to make some modifications to my Faktum kitchen and buy a 233 high cabinet (217 with 16cm plinth) and install a 178cm refrigerator with a 35cm compartment above it inside.

Of course, the 217 corpus is no longer available in the replacement service. But there is someone privately who can offer me a 217 corpus. Unfortunately, it was only a pure high cabinet with shelves (FA 511). Can I still use the corpus and adapt it for the refrigerator? Is the 217 corpus always the same in terms of the drillings and only differs in the back panel and the shelves?

Thanks for your help!!

Hello,
take a close look at the assembly instructions, that should answer the questions.
I would use the refrigerator without the cabinet until it is available again.

Hello Ikea expert,

what I see as differences is that the two carcasses differ in the back wall and that the bracket, which screws the carcass to the wall behind it, is arranged at the top instead of in the middle. Also, I have seen that no ventilation grille is planned. If I see it correctly, however, the drillings for doors and shelves etc. seem to be the same - or?

For your information: I have left out all back walls from the kitchen furniture - i.e. with me you can look directly at the wall behind. The reason was that I moved into a new building where residual moisture still had to come out of the plaster. Therefore, back walls don't matter to me anyway. What is important to me is that I can properly arrange a shelf above the refrigerator for the 60x35 door and that the doors below can be screwed on correctly.

And additionally: I live alone and am 198 cm tall - the flap is supposed to be above the refrigerator... not below ;)

So, does it fit with the fronts and hinges?

Hello, you can already see a bit more there. The back panel of the cabinet for built-in appliances is shifted 6 cm forward. Accordingly, the bottom, top, and shelves are less deep, so that a continuous ventilation channel with a cross-section of 56x6 cm is created at the back. (See pictures in step 6) Without this ventilation, the waste heat from the refrigerator would accumulate and the appliance would no longer function properly. The vertical positions of the holes are, of course, the same for every cabinet.

Thank you IKEA expert!

That's exactly what I was referring to with the front holes.
Since I have a second tall cabinet of the same height, which currently holds the oven and microwave, we will basically swap the cabinets. The oven and microwave will go into the new, used "regular" tall cabinet with shelves (without ventilation, since this is provided for ovens via the front flap) and the built-in fridge can then go into the appliance cabinet where the oven was previously. I still have the ventilation grille for the plinth.
That should make it fit properly. I can simply transfer the reinforced shelf for the oven into the new cabinet.

Regards, Andre

My oven (Siemens) needs ventilation at the back despite the fan, e.g. the MIRAKULÖS from IKEA does too ...
