Hello everyone,

we have a small problem with the Faktum tall cabinet 233 cm and Framtid oven (59 cm).
Has anyone of you ever tried to combine, in the tall cabinet in the lower part, in addition to the two standard full-extension drawers (total 57 cm), a 9 cm drawer, above that the oven, and then a door with 90 cm at the top? On paper, it should work if I use the rail meant for installation in the low Faktum elements instead of the shelf on which the oven is usually placed.

Thank you very much for your help!

I don't have a tall cabinet, but it should be considered that the floor also has a stabilizing function for the cabinet.

The stability should not be a problem, because the tall cabinet is connected on one side to another tall cabinet and on the other side to a wall cabinet/base cabinet and is also anchored to the wall with two 10mm dowels. In the upper part of the tall cabinet, there are also three shelves.

Hi,

Since you want to take a 90 instead of the standard 92 door, it should at least fit dimension-wise. However, there will definitely be a gap of 0.6 cm because you won't shorten the 9.4 cm panel to 8 cm like you would with a 92 door. There could also be a problem with the hole distances. And last but not least, you won't have much fun with the mini drawer. To get a proper finish to the oven, the reinforced bottom is installed inside the drawer. You have an internal height of maybe 3-4 cm. With a lot of luck, the shallow baking tray and/or the rack will fit in, and that's it.

If you want to try, good luck.

Instead of the bottom, he wants to take the steel brackets from the base cabinet. Instead of the 9.4 cm panel, the standard drawer front could be used and cut to size accordingly.

Oh IKEA expert! If you don’t read until the end. Thanks for the hint. Using the 13 cm panel is certainly possible, but then you don’t have an edge band to cover the cut like with the 9.4 cm one. So that’s also inconvenient. The thing with the bracket is an idea, but it’s definitely quite fiddly to get the oven to the right height so that nothing rubs, I rather doubt that the usual holes will fit.

A lot is possible, after all we are talking about IKEA! Whether it still looks good in the end remains to be seen. A photo would be great if it worked out.

Cheers

Well.
