In general, I think it's good! Detail questions are open. Possibly omit the T-solution, how wide is the garage entrance, 24 cm tread is a no-go.. etc. How big is the house?

The current plan provides for 140.11 sqm, distributed over 76.49 sqm on the ground floor and 63.62 sqm in the upper floor.

The objection regarding the tread is very good; we have not given that any thought until now.

As mentioned, the offer from the contractor is still pending. If we have some leeway here, we would like to increase the living space.

We had 26 cm, which we enlarged to 27 cm with metal edges - and that is one point we would do differently in the next house (although it is still okay). The problem is that a design often stands or falls with the staircase - however, you could simply extend the staircase by, for example, setting the front door back - you would no longer have a porch, but more light in the hallway. I would: move the door back to the wall at the bottom of the plan, remove the window by the wardrobe, place the wardrobe against the wall at the bottom of the plan. To maintain the symmetry, just remove the window in the office as well. Then you can also make the bathroom a bit (10-20 cm) wider and relieve it a little. Dimensions would be nice ;)

What is the kitchen island for? Because everyone wants one or it’s supposed to be trendy?

As planned, it offers no benefit... I would remove it and consider an L or U shape, so that two people can work well in the kitchen.

Kitchen island bashing is the kitchen island planning of the forum :D But no, Marc is right.. although the measurements are missing, it can already be strongly suspected that the kitchen has too little space. I would plan a G; cooktop in the row where the sink is, sink in front of the window; normal window.

Well, we also really wanted an island and had been advised against it and scratched it, and that with a 20 sqm kitchen.
