How to lay wood-look tiles? Crosswise or lengthwise?

Which aspects need to be checked:
Point 1: If you lay it diagonally, the joints would be more visible. That is something you place value on.
Point 2: With the expansion joint, that would be the most sensible from a craftsmanship perspective.
Point 3: Again the appearance: with the direction you can influence the spatial effect. For example, make narrow rooms appear wider.

In smaller residential objects, the expansion joint can be closed with cork or epoxy resin. For this, we asked Heizi at our place. He saw no problem with the different heating circuits.

By the way: nice floor plan for a DH. Did the load-bearing wall between the hallway and living room have to be there or did you want it that way?

I faced the same question and decided (because of the logic and the expert's recommendation) to lay the tiles along the expansion joint. Otherwise, for example, in the large living-dining area, there would have been an unsightly interruption of the tiles in the middle.

Sure, if you have a joint in the middle of the room, it certainly sets the tone.

We have arranged everything in one direction. Depending on the viewpoint, they are either perpendicular to or in the direction of the light incidence.

I can’t contribute anything on the subject as this decision is still ahead of me, but would you reveal what kind of tile it is? I really like it.
