How should we arrange our kitchen? Do you have any ideas?

Hello Klötzchen,

how about this kind?

This way you would have a lot of workspace, the island could be used well for preparation. That’s why I planned the sink there for you, because when preparing you always have to wash vegetables / meat or knives now and then.

Best regards
Julia

@Jaydee, I think the entrance to the kitchen would be too narrow. But I think the idea with the side window is well done, even if you have to climb on the counter to clean (I do that at the moment too and it’s not as bad as it feels)

Yes, the passage will be tight, you are right. The distance between the row in front of the window and the island is currently 1 m. It could be increased to 1.20 m.

L-shape is difficult because the side where the storage room is located is too short. Two-row layout is also difficult because the distance between the rows would then be too large.

This was just planned quickly for now.

Wow, this is really difficult. If you include the dining area, it is a really very large room. OK, you can fit a lot of furniture in it, but it might seem too big.

@ Klötzchen Please register in the above-mentioned forum (it is probably a partner forum of the house building forum). You will get the best help there!

1. Draft... Reduction of the pantry and thereby 180 width possibilities for tall cabinets... unfortunately the refrigerator is then too far from the preparation area

2. Draft... Work surface (cooking) changed, counter rotated... still the refrigerator is too far away

3. Draft: Pantry narrowed, thereby space for built-in tall cabinets... Wall cabinets can be on the left and right of the stove/hood for spices and such.

4. Draft: back to the original (pantry as planned)... Tall cabinets on the exterior wall, counter next to the pantry wall

I would like Draft 3 best, but I would favor a straight wall in the pantry... side window somewhat directed towards the middle, sink centered on the front window and both centered on the 3.15 width.

Maybe there is an approach here that you can use for your planning. Feedback would be nice on what you have decided
