How much should a new gas boiler cost?

Really fascinating what mental gymnastics are used to shirk responsibility. If I want to influence something, primarily my actions remain. Very few here probably have any influence on Xi, but very much on their own actions. And no, I am not so naive as to believe that one more heat pump will save the world. I just can’t listen to this kind of "argument" anymore. By that logic, I could also pour my used oil down the toilet... it's so much less than the container ships anyway.

Who is your "we"?

By "we" I do not mean "the Chinese".

To stay somewhat on topic, I see three possibilities:

1: I am too stingy and I don't care about the consequences of my actions.
2: I cannot afford a heat pump.
3: I switch to a heat pump.

And who do you mean then? A group that, if you simply let them disappear and thus no longer contribute to resource waste and CO2 emissions, still does not really influence the climate? Everyone should ask themselves what contribution they want to make. Not just greenwashing. But please leave this decision to each individual. And do not demand things that you yourselves do not adhere to. Nobody tells you that you should not have children.

Are you providing numbers for that, or is it just a buzzword? And please stick to heat pumps. There are other forums for having children.
