There are devices where the heat pump is completely located in the utility room. Unfortunately, I don't know how loud they are for the residents.

Yes, they do exist. They are called compact systems. As hinted in previous posts, I have been pondering the exact same considerations and finally decided on a Kfw 40+ with an air-to-water heat pump as a compact system. So it has no outdoor unit, which means it also doesn’t freeze... According to my information, this is only possible up to 150-160 sqm of living space. According to reports, the noise is supposedly marginal, let’s see if that holds true in practice. House construction follows mid to late this year...
