Right, HG instead of BG . Then indeed without LAS and the final price will be more expensive. The boiler itself fits the price though at €4k.

And that, even though condensing technology was already standard 20 years ago...

Before I would invest 15k in an air-water heat pump with an estimated optimized consumption of 9.5-10k kWh p.a., I would also invest 5k all in in a modern gas condensing boiler. Presumably, that is greener than coal power at the moment. winkingsmiley

There is nothing to object to. Gas is definitely greener than electricity from hard coal and lignite, which still accounts for almost 30% domestically.

I myself have a very expensive brine geothermal heat pump. (thanks to subsidies) I only always question the acquisition costs in relation to consumption. One should not underestimate these costs. The system costs more than the consumption for the next 15 years (approximated) Consumption heating and hot water for 245m2 kfw40+ approx. 1500kwh electricity p.a. (grid supply) Cost of system after subsidy (a lot of own work) approx. 13k. Gas boiler would have cost me about 6k with gas connection. Ergo, gas would have been more economical.

But also completely free of ideology: Who says that gas will still be reliably available and affordable in 10 or even just 5 years? Electricity cannot become infinitely expensive, nothing works without it. Since 100% of the population is affected here, there are simply limits. With gas and the prevailing zeitgeist, I find that a risky bet. Moreover, I can always produce and store electricity myself very easily, but not gas. Of course, the prerequisite is also that one can afford the investment now. But the reference to the heat pump is justified, the OP apparently has not yet dealt with the technology.

It will definitely be available. How the price develops time will tell… Better to invest the saved money. In 10 years, the profit will probably be enough to convert the heating system if necessary.
