I’m bringing up the post again because it’s becoming urgent now and we still don’t have a complete solution. Once again, the initial question:
It’s about the part clad in aluminum (color matching the window frame) between the upper floor windows. We would like the same. Behind the aluminum cladding on our side would be the load-bearing masonry. Insulation and the rest of the facade are rendered with ETICS.
The solution discussed here so far would be to use better insulation (thinner insulation with the same insulation value compared to ETICS) behind the aluminum sheet between the windows and then clad it with the aluminum. So far, so clear.
However, in the picture, the window sill also continues through here, which on the one hand looks good and on the other hand is functionally sensible to channel the water running down the sheet away. How is this solved? Or is the basic plan already wrong?
