If the windowsill is to continue, you will have no choice but to make the part where the panels are attached thinner than at the windows. Specifically, this can be done by using thinner wall thicknesses in this area or a thinner insulation.
Working with thinner insulation (but of higher quality or the same insulation value) behind the panels is probably also the solution in the example image. Nevertheless, the windowsill actually cannot simply continue from the frame over the masonry, as the windowsill itself would then form a thermal bridge directly to the masonry. I therefore wonder whether the windowsill under the panels was shortened in depth so that the thinner insulation fits behind it.
