How is the survey conducted in terms of time?

Hello everyone,

I am currently having some trouble imagining how the surveying works in a construction project. The plot has been purchased, the building permit is approved, and the offer from the shell constructor including earthworks is available. In the shell constructor's offer, there is the item "Prepare batter boards for the surveyor."
If I now hire a surveyor, they can only measure the future building once the earthworks are completed, right?
In other words, the shell constructor sets up the batter boards and the surveyor measures them in, correct?
That would also mean that if I hire the surveyor now, I cannot exactly tell them on which day they would need to be on the site to measure the batter boards because that depends entirely on the shell constructor.

Thanks in advance

So for me, it was like this: the surveyor first did a rough survey. So he first put a stake at all the corners.

Then the shell builder came and dug. Afterwards, the surveyor came again and did a fine survey.

Then when everything is finished, the surveyor comes again and surveys the house for the authorities.

Exactly, you cannot give him an exact date.

Rough staking can also be done well as EL, right? Then have the civil engineers work and afterwards assign the surveyor with the fine staking and the batter board so that the foundation slab is properly positioned accordingly.

Right?!

And the hyphen?

And what if the boundary stones don't fit, I would save myself that hassle over 500 euros.
