Hello,

we are building a prefabricated house (timber frame) on the Swabian Alb and after some disputes and stress with the manufacturer (from near Passau), we have now received a letter stating that he will stop the work immediately until the issue is resolved.
The manufacturer still has to complete ceiling work, sanitary casing, floors, stairs, and doors. Completion was planned for this year.
What options do I have as the client to ensure that the work is completed as planned this year?

Well, you have to come to an agreement with the company, otherwise it probably won’t work out. If you’re really expecting help here, you also have to explain everything in detail. The discrepancies and the construction halt must have a good reason.

Sounds like "we have reported defects and therefore are not paying." At some point, the builder will also have enough.

Report everything so that we can give you advice.

P.S. The best advice is to talk. I think you are not doing that right now or have not done it properly so far. Or?

Your house manufacturer has already told you this: Clarify the situation, then it will continue. What is the problem that needs to be clarified? Does your contract have a guaranteed completion date?

With such concerns, you go to a lawyer, not to a forum.

I don't know if it's just me reading your post like this, but to me it always sounds like the client is to blame themselves.
