Hello dear forum,

we are currently planning our own home.

The plot is fully developed, which means the connections are at the plot.

What are the next steps, or what additional costs will we face (it’s probably different everywhere)?

Who installs the line into the utility room? Do I have to hire someone, for example from the gas supplier?

There is a lot on the internet about around €8000 – is that the cost we can expect?

Sorry for the silly question

We would be happy to receive an answer.

Best regards

With a general contractor from nearby.

It's not a "chain" if that's what you mean.

you can inquire with the supplier. if you provide a drawing (house on property) or similar with a handful of measurements including the position of the house connections and distance to the street, they can give you a pretty accurate price.
the connection costs vary extremely. for example, we paid €3000 just for water, but €1700 of that was the entrance fee to some association or something, just to actually get water.
water €3000
gas €1500
electricity €1500
internet/Telekom/fiber optic: €0-1000; depending on what you arrange. often the connection is free or heavily discounted if you sign a 2-year contract right away. we have 2 lines (fiber optic/Telekom) and have switched both providers now and got both connection costs refunded.

if not everything comes from one provider anyway, you should coordinate the process. because then the water supplier digs up and only covers up to gas/electricity height again. the next day gas/electricity comes and then fully closes it up. and the internet line should be included too, which is by far not so easy.

sewage and rainwater drainage is regularly done by yourself and not by public suppliers. possibly your general contractor does this and/or it is part of the contract. the costs vary quite a bit here. from simple soakaway 2 meters next to the house for €50 done by yourself up to €10,000 for complicated earthworks (e.g., if the transfer shaft is extremely close to the house but buried very deep. the hole must be secured against house slippage, etc...) including other complications, everything is possible.
back then we calculated €15,000 for all connections and that worked out well.
