I have a certain tendency towards perfectionism and like to get lost in details. I also quickly become unwell when things don't go according to my expectations. In short, not a pleasant companion for the construction industry o_O. In that respect, I can really understand your emotional state.
What always grounded me were the disturbed looks from friends and neighbors who, shaking their heads at my tirades about a joint that was off by about 0.5mm, said "well, if those are your problems, things are going really well!".... they were all right. Illuminated house number and utility room "furnishing" fall into the same category ;) So here’s a friendly piece of advice: relax, drink a good red wine, and look forward to the new home – everything will be fine!
By the way, we always felt comfortable. Truly at home only once the caravan of follow-up craftsmen was finished. Another feel-good factor for me was the outdoor area, especially the access path: spending 600K only to then have to cross a gravel track for months to reach the usual construction-site entrance Euro pallet really annoyed me.
